Garlic lowers the levels of triglycerides and low density lipoproteins (LDL) which contribute to the deposition of fats in the arteries (atherosclerosis). Partially blocked arteries can lead to increase in blood pressure.

Hawthorn contains contains procyanidins which increase blood flow to the muscles of the heart and extremities of the body by relaxing the muscles in the artery wall. This then contributes to a fall in blood pressure.

Passiflora has a calming effect on the central nervous system and Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant which prevents all membrane damage by free radicals. Hawthorn-Garlic Complex is therefore beneficial in conditions associated with atherosclerosis, high cholesterol and mild hypertension.
